As a purpose driven organisation and together with our partners, we are helping people move beyond crisis, reduce the risk of homelessness and create stronger foundations for healthier, more resilient futures.
Who are we?
'Beorma' is the Old English name for the Anglo-Saxon chieftain credited with founding Birmingham — rooted in the West Midlands' deepest history, carrying connotations of building, founding and community.
Founded under and operating on Shariah-compliant ethical principles, Beorma was established to address a critical gap: the chronic shortage of high-quality, properly governed SEA provision.

Working in close partnership with local authorities, commissioners, private landlords and support organisations, we deliver high quality supported accommodation that is responsive to local need, fully compliant with regulatory standards and centred around the individual. By combining trusted partnerships with a collaborative approach, we help ensure that every person receives not only the right accommodation, but also the support needed to achieve sustainable outcomes.

At Beorma Community Housing, our support extends beyond providing a safe and secure place to live. We provide practical, housing-related support to help residents maintain their accommodation, build independence and move towards greater stability.
Where additional or specialist support is needed, our team can provide information, signposting and, where appropriate, referrals to trusted external services, helping residents access the right support at the right time.
