Your Journey with Beorma
The Beorma Pathway: Five Stages. One Goal.
The Beorma Pathway provides a structured journey from housing instability to greater independence. Through five clearly defined stages, we combine safe accommodation with personalised support, empowering residents to build confidence, develop life skills and progress towards long-term, sustainable living. Your move is on our measure of success.
1. Assessment & Placement
Before we offer you accommodation, we will complete an assessment with you.
This helps us understand you, your circumstances, the support you may need and what type of accommodation would be most suitable.
We will explain the process clearly, listen to your views and give you the opportunity to ask questions.
2. Sign Up and Move In
You will have the opportunity to view the accommodation before making a decision. If you are happy to accept the room, we will:
-
Explain your licence agreement and service charges.
-
Complete the required documents with you.
-
Provide a fire-safety and property induction.
-
Help you settle into your new home.
3. Support planning and Risk Assessment
Once you have settled in, you will meet your dedicated support worker. Together, you will agree:
-
The goals that are important to you.
-
The housing-related support you would like to receive.
-
How often you will meet with your support worker.
-
How we can help you stay safe.
-
Any risks or concerns that need to be managed.
Your support plan and risk assessment will be completed openly with you and reviewed regularly. You will be involved in any decisions about your support.
4. Ongoing Support
You and your support worker will usually meet every week. You will work together towards your chosen goals, which may include:
-
Managing your accommodation and finances.
-
Maintaining your health and well-being.
-
Accessing appropriate benefits, education or employment services.
-
Building confidence and independent-living skills.
-
Managing appointments and important correspondence.
-
Developing positive relationships and community connections.
Where specialist assistance is required, we will provide information, signposting or referrals to an appropriate external service. Support will be tailored to your individual needs, choices and circumstances.
5. Preparing to Move on
When you are ready, we will help you prepare for your next home. This could be permanent accommodation or another positive step towards greater independence.
We will work with you to develop a move-on plan, explore suitable housing options and help make the transition as safe and smooth as possible.
