Tenancy sustainment is the process of helping someone successfully maintain their accommodation over the longer term.

Regulation is important. Good governance protects residents, builds public confidence and helps ensure taxpayers' money is spent responsibly. But regulation alone cannot transform supported exempt accommodation.

For many people experiencing homelessness, fleeing domestic abuse, leaving care, recovering from addiction or managing complex mental health challenges, finding accommodation is only part of the journey. What truly changes lives is having somewhere safe to heal, grow and begin again.

Finding safe, stable accommodation is about far more than having a roof over your head. It is about creating the foundations for people to rebuild their lives, regain independence and become active members of their communities.
